The 5 main reasons why you should work in the insurance industry
Would you like more time freedom? Would you like the potential for a higher income? If your answer was “yes” or “duh!” to any of these questions, then you need to consider a career in the insurance industry!
While there are many amazing reasons to consider a career in the insurance industry, there are a few that stand out which make this career one of the best options out there.
Unlimited Income Potential
So if you’d like the possibility to make unlimited income on a part time, or a full time basis, then this is the career for you. As an insurance agent you have control over how much income you can make, and your schedule.
In a relatively short amount of time, you have the potential to make hundreds of dollars. Take the following example below which shows the potential income you can make. The following visual is a 60% commission level, at my company you have the possibility to earn a 120% commission level.
As shown in the image above, you could potentially make up to $600 or more in about 2 hours, and honestly if the prospect of making up to $600 or more in about 2 hours doesn’t excite you, I’m not sure what will.

Part Time, Full Time, Gig, You Choose
When working as an insurance agent, you are working as a 1099 employee which means you work for a company, but you get to decide your own schedule.
Imagine being able to decide what days and what times you would like to work. Wanna go on that vacation you’ve been dreaming about? Awesome, Go! Wanna pick up your kids everyday from school and spend the rest of the afternoon with them? Awesome, Do it! We don’t mind, do it!
So whether you are looking for a full time career, a part time job, or something to do when you are bored to make a little extra money per month, you can do it with the insurance industry. The choice is yours.
Make a difference in people’s lives
If you’ve ever thought to yourself that you’d like to make a positive difference in people’s lives, insurance sales might be the career option of your dreams.
If the thought that insurance agents don’t help people has never run across your mind, trust me I get it, but think about this. When someone receives an insurance benefit payout they are receiving money in one of the hardest points of their lives, so that money is not only a relief but a true blessing to those individuals receiving it.
As an insurance agent you can be there for someone and help get them through one of the hardest things anyone can go through which is losing a loved one.
With an insurance benefit someone can choose to pay off health bills which would have burdened the family for years to come, pay off or save towards their children’s education, or keep a family from falling into debt due to the loss of one of (or possibly the bread winner).
Have you ever seen someone selling plates or running a Go-fund Me” Account to help someone pay for funeral/medical expenses when someone passes away?
I’m sure we all have at one point, and we all think the same thing, “that poor family, what are they gonna do?” we feel bad for them, we buy a plate just to “help out,” but are we really helping that family? As an insurance agent you can play a vital role in truly helping families avoid these situations.
Are you sold on this possibility yet?
You can earn residual income!
When becoming an insurance agent one of the main things to look out for is the possibility of earning residual income. Residual income is passive income which you earn multiple times over for the work that you’ve already done. With my company, The Insurance Factory you have the ability to make this type of income in 2 ways.
The first is from sales of certain products, and the second way to earn residual income is by training other agents within our organization to make sales themselves. When they make a sale you make some money!
It’s Easy to Enter the Industry
One of the many great reasons many choose to enter the insurance industry is because of how easy it is to get started making money with this industry. With few barriers to enter one can easily begin on a part time or full time basis.
